I am Subhrojyoti, a versatile artist and researcher, with a profound passion for music and a deep interest in interdisciplinary studies encompassing music psychology, computing, and IoT. My roots trace back to Pune, India, where I've cultivated my diverse talents.

My musical journey embarked during my engineering studies at the National Institute of Technology in Jamshedpur. Those formative years saw me representing my college at various intercollegiate festivals, where I had the honor of clinching multiple accolades, including the prestigious "Best Solo Vocalist" title at Saturnalia 1996, hosted at IIT Dhanbad.

Collaborations with esteemed session artists in the Bollywood music industry marked a pivotal chapter in my career. Together, we embarked on a music project we christened "Freaky Devotees," resulting in my debut studio album. The album resonated well within the independent music radio circuit and was recognized as the runner-up for "Best World Album" by the Fame Games radio show, under the umbrella of ABC radio networks in the USA.

As I continued to evolve as an artist, I joined forces with independent musicians in Pune, creating a series of captivating singles. One of these, "Orphaned," garnered critical acclaim on Artist Aloud, an online streaming platform affiliated with the renowned music label Hungama, dedicated to promoting independent music.

Inspired by the world's happenings, my creative journey led to the composition of "Big Empty," a song that drew attention within the Indian independent music community and earned a nomination for "Best Lyrics" at the Clef Music Awards in 2022.

In addition to my artistic endeavors, I find immense fulfillment in conducting research in the fascinating realm of music psychology. My research has found a platform in various international workshops and conferences, including the International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition (ICMPC) and Interspeech.

Beyond the stage and the research lab, I continue to perform as a solo artist at popular venues throughout Pune. My journey is a harmonious blend of musical expression and scholarly exploration, leaving an indelible mark on the worlds of both music and academia.
